Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a stunning expanse located in the southern part of Tanzania. Established in 1992, the park covers an area of 1,990 km², with 20% situated in the Morogoro region and the remaining 80% in the southern highlands of Iringa. The name "Udzungwa" is derived from "Wadsungwa," referencing a native sub-tribe of the Hehe people who once inhabited the mountain slopes.
